We are overjoyed to finally be able to share this winter glamour with a romantic twist wedding. Kevin & Xiangting’s wedding was back in December 2011. Although the weather had been unpredictable back then but they had the most gorgeous weather with a beautiful sunny smiley sun during their wedding day!! It’s really amazing.
They contacted us one year prior to their wedding and giving us the privilege to be part of their memorable day for the Full Wedding Planning. We created a fun cheerful theme for their ROM in stunning Glass Pavilion at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa; with a softer pastel color schemes. And wrapped it with a touch of romantic glamour for the dinner reception in the ballroom. It’s been lovely seeing many months of planning unfold into a beautiful wedding.
The gatecrashing was started at 5.30am!! But the happy couple and wedding entourage looks energetic and enjoy themselves very much.

Hello readers,
Can’t believe it’s already last week of February!! I bet you are wondering where I have been these days. Well, wedding season is in full swing and we have been extremely busy since the beginning of the wedding season. As we look back 2011, it has been such a blessing & successful year for DDW and we are so grateful for our amazing clients who have trusted us from the start. Very grateful but we definitely have a ton of work to do, finalizing details and such. A whole bunch has happened since my last post. But here are a couple quick updates before I really forget that I have a blog. Haa.
OnYee and Jonathan met in London and now lives in Hongkong, they contact us from the early stage of their wedding planning. In this chapter, I witness their great love for each other. A love so gentle its contagious! (:
As a wedding planner, there’s a lot of backstage work and coordination to be done. Especially when I’m handling many weddings, my capacity can be stretch at times. However, whenever I thought about my couple loves for each other, smile at their face, it always gives me strength even in the most tiring situation.

Lily – thanks for driving all the hard bargains, dealing with all our last minute requests and for being so calm and collected even amidst the pressure cooker of the big day itself. You made us feel so much better about everything knowing you were there covering our backs and running the show. Throughout the process you have been absolutely wonderful and always so kind, calm and supportive.
Hellen – thank you for the beautiful flowers and decorations. The hall was absolutely stunning on Saturday and everything looked perfect.

Thanks heaps for the enquiry, supports and compliments, you guys amazed me! So sorry for the lack of blog posts lately, we’ve had back-to-back wedding meetings in the last month and so much work for these coming weddings but nevertheless we have a lot of fun in designing and planning. I’m dying to share the story of our wedding planning process and pictures, so please stay tuned as lots more to come!!!
Here we’d like to share one of the very important factors to consider when planning a wedding on top of the perfect wedding venue, wonderful design & decoration and last but not least: Yes, is the ‘Entertainment & Wedding Songs’. I found that most of couple doesn’t think is an essential part and choose to overlook it.
After creating a beautiful stylist and elegant ceremonies & reception; dreamy gown checked, dreamed theme checked, decoration fab! Everything is seems perfect at your truly unique wedding day but yet until “Marching-in” the moment that everyone is longing for (and) . . . . NO NO NO . . . the music and song is just not right with the theme and atmospheres that has been created; likes a beautiful wedding gown with a stain. Wedding songs play a big part to set the mood and tone for your wedding ceremony while also allowing you to express your feelings through music. Make your very special moment to remember.

The “Story” was born from a marriage of ideas by Lily & Hellen. We decided to marry our expertise in design and planning as both of us are sharing the same passion (in weddings) but with different approach. Lily loves beautiful things and has incisive eye towards beauty, fun and creativity while utilizing the power of design (from talented amazing designer Hellen) to capture and conceptualize the theme & design and turns couple dream wedding into reality. Being able to help the couple makes us feel very happy and content. We believe everyone deserves a beautiful wedding that represent their love and style regardless of the budget.
Diary & Design is dedicated to create weddings with a personal touch and each wedding to us is like a thumb print, should has its own character and charms.
